Every aspiring actress in India wishes to be the leading lady of a Bollywood flick with a great cast and an even better director to kick-start their career. But what then? After you have had that amazing ramp up to stardom, you expect more offers and a consistent climb to the top. Nothing of that sort happened to the following heroines of blockbusters. Rather, they were given high hopes of stardom and then were never seen again at the top!
1. Sneha Ullal
The one who looked like Aishwarya Rai, also labeled as "Poor man's Aishwarya Rai" got a pretty sturdy start to her career through the movie Lucky opposite Salman Khan. And that was about it, never has she seen again in a movie that racked in the moolah!
2. Sonal Chauhan
Emraan Hashmi was and is an actor with critical as well as commercial success. Though his movie, with this beautiful maiden bombed, she was praised as someone who was simple, cute and at the same time hot! After Jannat, she didn't exactly produce hits and that is that.
3. Tulip Joshi
Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai was this bombshell's debut, and everyone thought that she would eventually get better with more and more roles, but the roles never came. She was a part of a couple of movies down south, but that never actually convert to bigger roles.
4. Gayathri Joshi
We have seen her in many ads, and as the leading lady of Swades. Apparently, her expressive eyes and that beautiful blush were never really enough to make a mark, and that is the last we saw of this beauty!
5. Tanisha Mukherjee
The girl who dared to bare in Neil N Nikki was expected to do more roles, at least more such characters for starters, but as luck would have it, she never got a meaty role again in Bollywood. Although she has a few south-Indian movies to her name, it wasn't enough to make a mark of any kind.
6. Bhagyashree
Susheel from Maine Pyar Kiya, as everyone remembered her, Bhagyashree was touted to be the next big thing. Bhagyashree then declared that she would only act opposite her husband Himalaya Dasani, and there it ended for her. We saw neither of them gets any chance for a long time now.
7. Mandakini
She left everyone gasping for breath with her breast-baring scene by the waterfall in the movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili. She should have got meaty roles again for her boldness during such orthodox times, but alas! That was the last time we ever saw her in the driver's seat of a hit movie.
8. Bhumika Chawla
She is one of the most beautiful models to have ever stepped into the movie industry. Best known as Radhe's (Salman Khan) love interest, Nirjara in Tere Naam and since then hasn't got a significant role in the north.
9. Preeti Jhangiani
One of the three girls who made their Bollywood debut in Mohabbatein, she was praised for her quiet girl act, but only later did everyone realizes that, that was all that she could do as far as acting goes!
10. Hazel Crowney
In Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar we got see the acting debut of British actress Hazel Crowney, and that's that, never again did we get to see her!
