Bangalore or Bengaluru has been named as the MOST DYNAMIC city in the WORLD, by James Lang Laselle at the World Economic Forum in Davos, overtaking major cities of the world including the original Silicon Valley, Shanghai and Boston among others! 1. The origin of its name 

 

 

Bengaval-Uru as it was earlier called, meaning the city of guards, it was also given the name Benda-Kaal-Uru (land of boiled beans) when the Hoysala King Veera Ballala was fed with boiled beans in the city long, long ago. Then transformed slowly into Bangalore, it has been officially renamed as Bengaluru.

 

 

 

2. Most number of two-wheelers in the world

 

 

It has the distinction of having the most number of two-wheelers in the whole wide world along with the dubious record of highest number of two-wheeler thefts!

 

 

 

3. 'Bangalored' means...
